ENERGY FORUM ABOUT RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES According to estimates by the Institute of Energy of South East Europe (IENE), 2020. it is necessary to invest 240 million Euros in infrastructure of southeastern Europe, which will contribute to faster transit of gas from the Middle East, Central Asia and the Caspian region to the EU consumer. Of this, about 55 billion Euros to be invested in the oil sector, about 90 billion in the electricity supply, 24 billion in the field of gas and 20 billion in renewable energy sources. According to the ministers of energy, development and environmental protection in Serbia needs to invest about 1.5 billion Euros to build power plants, gas infrastructure, modernization of refineries and about 600 million in renewable energy. As the possibility of secure energy supply and investment in renewable energy by energy efficiency measures, the participants of this meeting was presented with development project Palilula-Nis: "The development and improvement of the competitiveness of SMEs in the field of improving energy efficiency in buildings." Project of Palilula Municipality of Nis, funded LEDIB Programme (Local Economic Development Balkans), according to Milos Stojkovic, president of the Palilula Municipal Assembly, is implemented in partnership with the construction cluster "Opeka Brik" , Administration of planning and construction of the city of Nis and EKOPOLIS-media ecological network of Serbia. The program is intended to support local economic development of the Balkans and is focused on the development of small and medium-sized enterprises - SMEs in the region. In the Forum enabled the bilateral meetings between representatives of the financial sector and the project sponsors, and three were awarded prizes for CEDEF journalistic competition: "The municipal waste as an energy source", which was organized under the auspices of the "Intercontinental Global Utilities BGD". Central European Development Forum, CEDEF, organized this discussion in Nis under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy Development and Environmental Protection of Serbia, EPS, in cooperation with the Energy Efficiency Agency of the Republic of Serbia and the organization of "E3" from Podgorica.
